6 Tips to Surviving a Long Flight

6 Tips to Surviving a Long Flight

Do you have a long flight coming up? Try using these tips to help you kill the boredom and stay comfortable for the flight.

1. Dress comfortable

Airport style is definitely a thing. But you want to make sure that you feel comfortable sitting in one spot for hours. A good idea is to dress in comfortable and breathable layers as the temperature can be unpredictable on airplanes.

2. Travel Blanket

You know we’ve got you covered there. Even though some airlines provide a blanket (this might change post pandemic), they are always too light – so you never feel warm or cozy. Trying to sleep when you’re cold is miserable.

3. Download some podcasts

Maybe you have been saving up some podcasts that you haven't had a chance to listen to yet. A long flight is the perfect time to catch up. You can't beat listening to podcasts or music on your flight with noise cancelling headphones.

4. Stay hydrated

Dehydration is one of the main reasons people feel terrible and tired during and after long flights. Bring a reusable water bottle and fill up in the airport prior to boarding. Ask your attendant for water whenever you can!

5. Take your own snacks

Meals provided by airlines are not always satisfying or good for you. Bring lots of your own snacks so you will always have something to munch on and feel good about eating.

6. Read up on your destination

Chances are you have done some planning prior to getting on the plane, but this is also a great time to read more on the location you are visiting and get excited for what’s to come. Also a perfect time to learn some of the local language, if that’s applicable.

Wherever your adventures are taking you, try to sit back and enjoy the ride. Long flights are usually always worth the wait.

Safe travels,

K&T
