1. The Beach (2000)

- A staple travel movie with beautiful scenes of Southeast Asia. The Beach stars a young Leo DiCaprio who travels to Thailand and discovers what initially appears to be a utopian beach paradise ends up quite the opposite.
2. The Grand Seduction (2013)
- Location: Newfoundland
- Genre: Comedy
- A Newfoundland fishing village is in dire need of a doctor so that the town can land a contract to secure a factory to save the town from financial ruin. The village must convince a young doctor to stay permanently by any means necessary and the true heart of the East Coast is revealed.
3. My Octopus teacher (2020)
- Location: South Africa
- Genre: Documentary/ Nature Film
- Filmmaker, Craig Foster, forms an unusual friendship with an octopus living in a South African kelp forest under the sea. The octopus shares the mysteries of her world with Craig as the two form an emotional and fascinating bond.
4. Mamma Mia (2008)
- Location: Greece
- Genre: Romantic Comedy/ Musical
- If you love beautiful beachy imagery and ABBA music well then you have hit the jackpot with this film/ musical. In this story, three men travel to Greece as they all believe they are the father of the bride-to-be.
5. Girls Trip (2017)
- Location: New Orleans
- Genre: Comedy
- Four lifelong friends travel to New Orleans where sisterhoods are rekindled, wild sides are rediscovered, and there’s enough dancing, drinking, brawling and romancing to make you want to plan a trip with your besties ASAP.
6. The Bucket List (2007)
- Location: All around the world
- Genre: Comedy Drama
- Two complete strangers set out to complete a list of things they want to see and do before they die. Escaping the hospital where they met, the two go on the adventure of a lifetime.
7. Crazy Rich Asians (2018)
- Location: New York, Singapore
- Genre: Romantic Comedy
- This film could pass as a tourism ad for Singapore. A native New Yorker travels to Singapore with her boyfriend to meet his family and for a friend’s wedding. Excited about visiting Asia for the first time, but nervous about meeting her boyfriend's family, she is unprepared for a few details he forgot to mention about his family.
8. Into The Wild (2007)
- Location: Alaska, Western USA
- Genre: Biographical Adventure Drama
- Interested in off the grid travel? This movie is right up your alley. A young man leaves everything behind to live in the Alaskan wilderness. This story captures the true essence of travel and the amazing relationships gained through wild adventures.
9. Eat Pray Love (2010)
- Location: Italy, India, Indonesia
- Genre: Biographical Romantic Drama
- A woman travels across the world on a one year journey in search of more to life despite having it all. During her travels, she discovers the true pleasure of nourishment by eating in Italy, the power of prayer in India, and the inner peace and balance of true love in Indonesia.
10. Jungle (2017)
- Location: Amazon Jungle, Bolivia
- Genre: Biographical Survival Film
- Based on a true story, a group of friends join a mysterious guide for a trek into the Amazon jungle, searching for an Indian village. Their journey soon turns into a fight for survival as the darkest elements of human nature unfold.
